A concrete base has been down for some time and it was time to lay the paving. The owner wanted a pattern similar to the paving at the front and was blown away with the quality of the workmanship of the finished product. The photos speak for themselves

With an existing concrete base already down the owner needed to lay bluestone to match the swimming pool area. Bullnose pieces were used as step treads and the attention to detail made during the paving process results in a perfect laid staircase reflecting the quality of work that Paragon landscapes is best known for.

Two backyards with the same brief for raised garden beds along the fence line and a large area for lawn. Both retaining walls were built from concrete stack stone blocks on concrete footings. In both cases the owners were intent on completing the soft landscaping themselves. The house in Coburg had some left over house bricks that were used to create a small barbeque area for the family.

The owner had just finished a large renovation job and wanted a simple font yard with an old red brick driveway. He also wanted a hardy lawn for the kids and standard roses along the front. The stretcher bond brick paving with header coarse was laid on a concrete base and mortar bed. Access down to the gas meter was needed and was achieved using existing blue stones on site as steps.

A front yard that was overgrown with weeds and grass, and a sideway with nothing but cracked concrete needed to be re-landscaped. The owner wanted to use old red bricks and the Paragon Landscape design team went to work. The front area is semi formal and has access for human interaction and is quite visually pleasing.

A family in Ripponlea, Victoria had just completed some interior renovations and wanted their backyard to reflect the same homely feeling they had just achieved indoors.
The yard needed room for the kids to play and the dogs to run around, as well as a place for the adults to relax and be out of the way while entertaining friends and was easy to maintain.

The owner had a concrete base poured for his drive and it finally came time to get the paving done. Victoria Blue Nubrick pavers were the paver of choice laid in a 90 degree herringbone pattern on a dry sand/cement bed. Upon completion of the driveway paving the owner wanted to incorporate a pattern of some sort. The Southern Cross was suggested and the owner jumped at the chance to have a one of a kind driveway. Templates were made with correct angles and dimensions and each star was cut in with a fantastic end result.

Paragon landscapes laid the bluestone edging for the driveway and the asphalt was laid by Ascot Paving. After the driveway was completed the design process began to create a garden to suit the old Victorian style house. The owner of the house chose bluestone to use around his new pool. 400mm by 800mm pieces were laid in a lineal pattern with bullnose pieces used for the pool coppers. An invisible strip drain was installed along one of the grout lines and caulk was used between the copping and the rest of the paving.
