With an established front garden the owner wanted to change the unsightly old concrete pathway with something new. The brick edging was done by Paragon Landscapes and the asphalt was installed by Ascot paving.

Contracted by the builder to lay around the pool area. 600 by 300mm bluestone pavers were laid in a brick pattern and a concealed drain was created along the pool edge.

There were 3 existing concrete steps but the owner wanted to make it 4 as they were unsafe. We had to modify the existing concrete steps to add another step tread and riser at the bottom. 1000 by 500mm pieces of blustone were supplied by the owner for the risers and rebated step treads. All of these pieces had to be cut down and the treads were laid on a wet mortar bed and the risers were fixed on with adhesive. The side pieces were cut out of 1 whole paver and the corners were mitred to meet the step risers. Finally it was grouted and caulked along the house gaps.

Contracted by the owner builder to lay 400 by 800mm bluestone on an existing concrete base. We used house bricks to create small brick walls along the edges of the paving and the step treads.

Paragon Landscapes was contacted by a builder to lay bluestone on a recently finished renovation with a new concrete base for the driveway, stairs and landing areas. The driveways were laid in a brick pattern 300 by 600mm pavers and the landing areas were laid in a 45º herringbone pattern with bullnose pieces for the step treads.

The owner needed a paved area at the back with access pathways to the unit and sideways. A new reinforced concrete base was installed and 600 by 300mm granite pavers were laid on a wet mortar bed.

There was an issue with water pooling around the back door during heavy rain. So we lifted the existing bricks that were just laid on the dirt and installed a new concrete base with a strip drain. Then it was a matter of cleaning the old bricks and relaying them on a wet mortar bed in a stretcher brick pattern for a new timeless area of paving.

Starting with an uninviting backyard with a slope down to the back fence. We designed a plan to create a space for a young family to use. We split level the yard for a nice sized lawn area for the kids to play with a small paved area for a table and a lower garden bed area along the back fence.
